GOP yearns for the return of shuffleboard and karaoke night

The corporate media didn't linger over the $62.2 billion two-year spending bill getting through the Wisconsin Legislature on time.

Instead of giving the Democrats more than a little credit for completing the state budget on time for the first time in over 30 years, the corporate media — from rent-free office space in the state Capitol — cataloged as outrageous Dem spenders compared to the GOP.

Yet the Dems accomplished a lot in a short period of time. And sure the $62 billion budget is a humdinger, but political pundits will be saying that when it costs $100 billion to run the state.

But the corporate media has already written off the Democrats, and all but endorsed befuddled Scott Walker for governor in 2010 and a Republican Jeb Bush White House in 2012.

But why can't the Democrats just as easily as Republicans position themselves for the 2010 campaign season because no votes also lets them be against unpopular items in horrible GOP budgets?

Blame the corporate media for forgetting GOP political crimes.
